The Dot and the Line is inspired by the same-named animated shortfilm from 1963. This Oscar-winning film is based on “Flatland. A Romamce of Many Dimensions”, which is an 1884 satirical novella by the English author Edwin Abbott Abbott.
This piece was developed through improvisation together with the clarinetist Carola Schaal.
